Sullivan's Cove French Oak 2015 HH0366 (Worlds best single malt 2014)
One of the oldest Sullivan’s Cove French Oak release that I have been able to get my hands on. These older bottlings sell extremely fast and are very sort after.
Bottled in January 2015 cask HH0366 was very close to the timing of winning the World’s Best Single Malt award. Bottles from this era of Sullivan’s Cove French Oak are extremely hard to come by now due to most being consumed already. This particular bottling was aged for over 15 years bringing it up to the higher aging of the standard French Oak Single Cask bottlings
Sullivan’s Cove French Oak Single Tawny Cask Tasmanian single malt whisky has become a legend in its own right, one of the most sought after whiskies in the world, and the bottle that put the Australian whisky industry on the map after winning World’s Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards in 2014.
Aged in 300L French oak casks previously used to mature Australian tawny port-style fortified wine, this whisky has rich flavours of Christmas spice, chocolate, dried fruit and complex oak. As a single cask bottling, every tiny batch is different, expressing the unique characteristics of each barrel.
