Mortlach 46 Year Old 1974 Gordon & Macphail Private Collection
A stunning 46 Year Old Mortlach with only 199 Bottles produced. Getting your hands on a 46 year old Mortlach is extremely hard to come by and for a very good reason. An absolutely spectacular bottle, released as part of the Gordon & Macphail Private collection which comes in an amazing looking wooden case.
I’ve seen one of these bottles go to an avid collector and I managed to get my hands on another. Absolute grail bottle that I didn’t think I would ever see again and an absolute guaranteed investment bottle as well to hold.
700ml 50.9% Alcohol
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Sherry aromas are followed by brown sugar, rum and raisin and warm spices.
Palate: Sweet and smooth flavours of stewed spiced damsons, with fig and apricot conserve. Seville orange peel and charred oak develop.
Finish: A long finish with sweet and spicy notes and lingering roasted hazelnuts.
