The Macallan Harmony Collection Smooth Arabica
The second edition in Macallan’s travel exclusive limited annual release series, this special single malt exudes flavours of ground coffee, hazelnut and vanilla, and provides a delightful whisky and coffee pairing experience.
The Smooth Arabica series was made available in The Macallan Airport Boutiques only, at key airports around the world and China Hainan Island duty free shops since November 2022. This obviously puts them quite out of reach for most who aren’t able to travel via those hubs (None of which were in Australia). One thing is for sure is collectors will be trying to get a hold of these so be quick.
This unique single malt was inspired by the Ethiopian Arabica bean. Ethiopia is claimed to be the birthplace of coffee as the Arabica bean was the first species of coffee to be cultivated.
Exuding notes of ground coffee, hazelnuts, sweet raisin and vanilla, this special whisky will transport you into a world of flavour and texture, awakening all of your senses.
Tasting Notes:
NOSE
Ground coffee, hazelnuts, sweet raisin, dark cherry, toffee, vanilla, sweet oak.
PALATE
Americano, raisins, cherries, soft spices, walnut, vanilla & oak.
FINISH
Lingering coffee bean turning sweet and creamy.
700ml 40% Alcohol
