Laphroaig 10 Year (Pre Royal Warrant Bottling 1980s)
A stunning vintage Laphroaig from the bottled in the 1980s before the Royal Warrant was issued to Laphroaig in the early 1990s. This particular bottling is roughly dated to the mid 1980s when this travel tube was issued.
It’s worth noting, that these Pre-Royal Warrant Laphroaig’s are extremely rare and worth their weight in gold as the liquid during this era tastes completely different (In a good way) to the current Laphroaig expressions.
Although these era bottlings can have somewhat of a variable taste profile (based on year, batch etc), the general era was much revered amongst enthusiasts and some similar tasting notes can be found below with mostly 90+ scores. You wont find many pre warrant bottles floating around in Australia with only a small number in circulation still.
Note: As a vintage bottle, the label has minor creasing with the general condition being extremely good.
