Hibiki 21 Year (With Box)
With the recent announcement from Suntory about the 75% price increase on Hibiki 21, we’ve seen the pricing in Japan already increase by 10-20%. I am expecting the price of these to go up significantly in the coming months. Suntory have greatly increased their pricing on their older range of Whisky’s and Hibiki 21’s are getting a 75% price hike! See my blog post for more details, but as we approach April 1st, I expect Hibiki 21’s to be sold for the high 1000’s.
Another important note about Hibiki 21s is to be careful of fakes which have recently made it to the Australian market (Hopefully this has been nipped in the bud with a recent store closure). Whisky Discovery obtains all of our stock from Japanese hospitality partners who are allocated stock directly from Suntory Japan. In addition to this, our latest imports all contain the hologram stickers that were introduced recently by Suntory. From time to time, we may purchase older pre hologram stock off market/auctions, but we carefully inspect these purchases for authenticity. We vigilantly oppose fake markets and work pro-actively to eradicate fakes.
