Hibiki Blossom Harmony 2022 Edition
There will not be a better time to buy - Suntory seem to have quietly released more of these than initially announced as the prices seem to be getting better. In my latest shipment of these, I have been able to get the prices down even further thanks to a strong AUD/Yen conversion and the market price drops. Now is the absolute best time to buy, as they will increase in value as the 2023 releases come through and more bottles are consumed.
This is the second edition that Suntory released of the new Hibiki Harmony Blossom and this is the 2022 Edition/Bottling. Initial reports were that Suntory only released these as ballot offerings to the local market in Japan and limited to 1000 bottles. This seems to have changed as more bottles were recently introduced to the market and even a 2022 edition with a different box (Similar to the 2021 edition).
It is a special "Hibiki" that has been blended with thought to suit a celebratory event . A delicate blend of various undiluted whisky with a variety of personalities , accented by the rare long-term aged grain undiluted whisky that has been aged in Sakura barrels . When you open the seal, it has a fragrant scent reminiscent of flowers. It features a harmonious and round taste and a rich finish with a refreshing taste.
It’s going to be a lot harder to get hold of one of these as such unless there are more planned releases in the near future. I dont believe we will see near as many of this 2022 edition floating around in Australia.
