Glenallachie 10 Year Old That Boutique-y Whisky Company (B) Urban Remix 500ml
This is the sixth batch and is the first of a pair of 10 Year Old Glenallachies that were finished in two different cask types. Re mixes, if you like. This release of 418 bottles has been finished in a Makers Mark bourbon cask.
All of its production was, until very recently, intended for blending, and it was rare to find single malt whisky from the Glenallachie distillery. The ‘house style’ up until Billy Walker’s takeover in 2017, was always described as clean, subtle, and delicate.
Tasting Notes:
Nose:
Fragrant with summer grass meadows and creamy vanilla. Hints of peppery spices and zingy citrus, sweeten to candied lemons
Palate:
Sweet and spicy, with a oily mouthfeel. Toffee apples, woody spices and those summer grasses come through as a herbal element. Tasty!
500ml 54.2% Alcohol
