After being patiently matured in bourbon barrels and sherry butts for 14 years, this whiskey is finished in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks for 16 years. Bushmill’s travel to Spain to personally choose the sherry recipe they believe will best complement the whiskey, and after two years of seasoning the casks with sherry, they fill them with the aged Bushmills whiskey to craft this rare expression.
Tasting Notes:
Rich, inviting aromas of dried fruit entwined with toffee delight the nose. Velvety and smooth mouth feel brings hints of dates and figs, followed by praline and orange peel, developing into warm vanilla and pastry notes. It doesn’t get much more complex than this.
