Rare items come and go just as fast

As soon as I heard about the recent Hakushu Spanish Oak 2021, I asked my local contact in Tokyo to try and source me a bottle. To my surprise, he found me one and had it shipped over immediately.

I received the bottle a few days later (It’s funny that things shipping from overseas tend to arrive faster than our local shipments..), I put the bottle up on the site and within 2 days it was gone. It really reminded me of how rare, sort after items can go faster than they come and this was no exception. After all, as far as we currently know.. Only 300 bottles have been released with Suntory in Japan advising of 300 ballot winners only. I can only hope that they release more to the public, so that I can get the opportunity to try some at least.

As of today, there’s been no further indication yet whether a further allocation will be released and time will only tell. I’ve already asked my local contact to try and find me another bottle, but I fear the prices will be surging. If you were looking for one, please do get in touch and I will note your interest so that you will get the first opportunity to purchase if we find one.

On that note… If you see something rare and really hard to find, the chances are they will just get harder and harder to acquire… So don’t hesitate too long.
